摘要 PURPOSE: A compressing method of a 3-dimensional mesh model is provided to express connectivity information of a 3-dimensional mesh model with simple codes, and to compress the 3-dimensional mesh model through simple calculations, thereby improving a speed. CONSTITUTION: A mesh layer(220) consisting of vertex-layer(VL) and triangular-layer(TL) is generated from a 3-dimensional mesh model(210). The triangular-layer(TL) is divided into a layer code(230). The triangular-layer(TL) divided into the layer code(230) is configured with a connection code(240) according to a triangular connection structure. Based on the connection code(240), geometry information is predicted. A difference value between a command set consisting of the layer code(230) and the connection code(240) and the predicted geometry information is entropy-coded(260). A compressed 3-dimensional mesh model(270) is obtained.
