PURPOSE: A water leakage prevention device of a washing machine is provided to hold an air layer and to prevent the leakage of water by restricting deformation or corrosion of an upper sealer even for a long-term use by making the upper sealer from fluorine resin with strong anti-chloride or putting anti-chloride additives into NBR(Nitrile-Budadiene Rubber). CONSTITUTION: A water leakage prevention device of a washing machine is composed of an outer tub(62) mounted in a cabinet and disposed with an inner tub therein to receive water; the inner tub arranged in the outer tub to store the laundry; a motor installed at the lower side of the outer tub and formed with a driving shaft(56) passing through and combining with a central part of the outer tub; a hub(66) joined at the bottom side of the inner tub and penetrated with the driving shaft to transmit equally rotary power of the driving shaft to the inner tub; and a sealer(72,74) combined to pass through the driving shaft and to form an air gap for preventing the leakage of water between the driving shaft and the hub. The sealer contains anti-chloride additives. |
