SMALL SIZED SERVO MOTOR OF BUILT-IN DRIVE CIRCUIT

PURPOSE: A servo motor of a built-in drive circuit is provided to downsize a servo motor by storing multiple-rotation data in a nonvolatile memory and by dispensing with a battery backup circuit when power is turned off. CONSTITUTION: A servo motor of a built-in drive circuit has a servo motor portion. The servo motor portion which is formed in the cylindrical case(1) and made of a stator(3) and a rotor(8) is servo-driven by a sensor circuit portion(31), a drive control circuit portion, and the motor drive circuit portion. The servo motor includes an absolute encoder(30) and an electromagnetic mechanical brake(20). The absolute encoder detects a rotation of the servo motor portion, and the electromagnetic mechanical brake is released when the servo motor portion is driven and is engaged when the servo motor portion is not driven. When power is off, location data is stored in a nonvolatile memory.
