PURPOSE: A system and a method for using a grid index for encoding location and estimated accuracy are provided to generate the database of location-tagged data optimizing search performance for a location based query on more fine scale regardless of a database capacity. CONSTITUTION: More than one location entity is inputted. A grid index series is calculated. It is queried which entity is located in a given grid cell in the given grid scale(502). A value of the given grid cell is searched in the data of the given grid scale(504). The value of the given grid cell is turned to the given grid scale(506).
