PURPOSE: A device for interfacing a host computer and a displays device, and an interface method using the same are provided to interface the host computer and the display device in a remote place by using a standard of standardized configuration information and control information. CONSTITUTION: An EDID(Extended Display ID) data storage(202) stores the EDID formatted information to be interfaced with the external host computer(100) by the standard and to operate the display device(300) by the standard. A transmitter(200) converts display data into a transmission signal if the display data is inputted to the host computer. A transmission medium(204) transmits the transmission signal by connecting to the transmitter. A receiver(206) receives/converts/outputs the transmission signal as the display data by connecting to the transmission medium.
