The device (1) prevents collision induced by heavy seas between an anchor chain (2) and a chain trunk (4) on board a marine offshore platform or a sea-going vessel. The chain trunk is cylindrical and vertically arranged. The device includes a chain guide (12) within the chain trunk, which includes a component for maintaining distance (13). This maintains a radial distance between the chain and the trunk inner periphery (3). - The chain guide is movably arranged in the longitudinal direction of the trunk and its vertical position is controllable from the trunk exterior by a control unit. |
