PURPOSE: An organic light emitting device is provided to prevent loss of luminance of the device caused due to exposure of organic light emitting layer to air or delay during manufacturing process. CONSTITUTION: An organic light emitting device comprises an anode(20) formed on a substrate(10); a hole transport layer(24) formed on the anode; a light emitting layer(26) formed on the hole transport layer, wherein the light emitting layer emits light in response to hole-electron recombination; an emission protection layer(32) formed on the light emitting layer, wherein the emission protection layer prevents surface contamination of the light emitting layer, and contains one or more materials selected to ensure less surface contamination; an electron transport layer(28) formed on the emission protection layer; and a cathode(30) formed on the electron transport layer.
