PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting a nano-tube type neutron by using a neutron nuclear reaction is provided to simply manufacture a detector having a high detecting power for a neutron and a fast responding speed with a large area. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for detecting a nano-tube type neutron by using a neutron nuclear reaction includes a neutron reaction layer(2) having a thin film shape formed at a lower surface of a substrate(3) in order to create a nuclear reaction together with neutrons and to emit a charged particle. A carbon nano-tube(4) is formed at a lower surface of the neutron reaction layer(2). The neutron reaction layer(2) includes one selected from the group consisting of boron, a boron compound, lithium, a lithium compound, a nitrogen compound, and material capable of creating the nuclear reaction together with an incident neutron.
