PURPOSE: A method for controlling a dish washer in different modes is provided to allow a user to change values of a mode by providing a user interface so as to facilitate different washing modes as the user is required. CONSTITUTION: A display indicates a driving control course(S201). When the driving control course is selected, the display indicates modes corresponding to the driving control course and current values of the modes(S204). When a mode is selected, the display indicates values to be set with the selected mode(S206). When a value is selected, the setting value of the corresponding mode is displaced with the selected value of the mode. When the mode is not selected, a user inputs an operation starting signal. When the user inputs the operation starting signal, the operation is performed with respect to the setting value of the current mode.
