PURPOSE: A method for transmitting a message in an MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) is provided to receive only header information of an original message and transmit the original message to a terminal or an E-mail account of an other user without receiving a body and an attachment file of the original message. CONSTITUTION: An MMS server receives a multimedia message and stores the received multimedia message in a message storing unit(ST1). The MMS server transmits header information of the received multimedia message to a terminal through a corresponding wireless network(ST2). The terminal displays header information of the multimedia message to a user, receives a command from the user, and transmits the command of the user to the MMS server through the corresponding wireless network(ST3). The MMS server receives the command of the user, and transmits a real message stored in the message storing unit to another terminal or a wired E-mail account(ST4).
