An embodiment of the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for monitoring the level of exposure to a language, which can effectively enhance linguistic abilities of infants. Provided is a method for monitoring the level of exposure to a language, which comprises the following steps: receiving voice information collected by a voice collecting unit; analyzing the received voice information to calculate the number of words included in the voice information and accumulate the words; transmitting a request to a content server if the number of the accumulated words is smaller than a reference number; receiving a text content from the content server in response to the transmitted request; and displaying the received text content on a display unit. |
