USER AUTHENTICATION SERVER SYSTEM AND USER AUTHENTICATION METHOD USING THE SAME

A user authentication server system includes a database, an identification module, an authentication key creating unit, and a server communication module. The database stores a reference image that is an image obtained by photographing a user in advance. The identification module receives a photographing image of the user photographed by a portable terminal of the user from a portable terminal, and determines whether the photographing image coincides with the reference image of the database. The authentication key creating unit creates an authentication key when it is determined through comparison of the identification module that the photographing image of the user is identical to the reference image. The server communication module transmits an authentication key to the portable terminal such that the portable terminal transmits the authentication to a user authentication device to perform unlocking. Accordingly, user authentication can be easily and conveniently performed with low costs.
