<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas pressure reducing device keeping the pressure of the gas to be supplied to a fuel cell constant. <P>SOLUTION: An inside space 25 of bodies 21, 22 of the gas pressure reducing device is divided into a measuring chamber 28 and a back pressure chamber 27 by a diaphragm 26. A valve sheet 31 and a valve body 34 are arranged adjacent to the measuring chamber 28. When the gas pressure acts on the diaphragm 26, the diaphragm 26 displaces and makes the valve body 34 move in a direction getting near to the valve sheet 31. A pressure control spring 37 energizes the diaphragm 26 to move in the direction making the valve body 34 separate from the valve sheet 31. Pressure of hydrogen gas getting out from an outlet 23 is reduced by the movement of the valve body 34 caused by the force of the diaphragm 26, the pressure control spring 37, or the like. The gas pressure reducing device comprises a pressure switching valve 7 adjusting the energizing force of the pressure control spring 37 by back pressure, a flow rate sensor 12 detecting gas flow rate at the outlet 23, and an electronic control unit (ECU) 11 controlling the pressure switching valve 7 in order to adjust the back pressure in compliance with the gas flow rate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
