ELECTROMAGNETIC DEVICE, HIGH-VOLTAGE PULSE GENERATOR, AND HIGH-LUMINANCE DISCHARGE-LAMP OPERATING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-voltage pulse generator and a high-luminance discharge-lamp operating device both of which can be reduced in size to the minimum by insulating and sealing their high-voltage sections with one kind of resin.

SOLUTION: The high-voltage pulse generator has a capacitor and a transformer the primary side of which is connected to the capacitor through a switch and generates a high-voltage pulse from the secondary side of the transformer. The transformer comprises a magnetic core 1, a secondary winding 2 wound around the core 1, and a resin 3 sealing the secondary winding 2. The transformer also comprises a primary winding 4 disposed on the outer periphery of the resin 3. A socket mouth piece 5 to which a discharge lamp is fitted is formed integrally with the resin 3 and a bulb connecting terminal 6 connected to the secondary winding 2 is disposed in the mouth piece section 5. The secondary winding 2 is edgewise wound around the magnetic core 1.
