PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To search travel time for a plurality of departure times using traffic information collected in the past. SOLUTION: The travel time estimation method for navigation device comprises a storage device which stores map data including link data which is composed of roads on map, and statistical data including travel time or travel speed determined from statistical data of traffic information collected in the past. The procedure comprises a step in which departure place and destination are set, a step in which a plurality of departure time is set, and a step in which travel time for each route composing link is calculated using the map data and the statistical data for collection conditions corresponding to conditions when passing through the route composing link composed of routes between the departure place and destination, and travel time from the departure place to destination is calculated by totalizing the travel time for each route.
