METHOD OF REDUCING OXIDE ON SWITCHING LIQUID IN SWITCH USING LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce oxide on switching liquid of a switch using liquid metal or the like as switching liquid. SOLUTION: The method includes placing of the switching liquid (118) on a first base plate (103) and combining the first base plate (103) with a second base plate (101). The first and the second base plates zone a cavity between them for retaining switching liquid. The cavity is large enough for the switching liquid to move between a first state and a second state. Gas (122) is produced in the cavity retaining the switching liquid, and reacts with at least either oxygen in the cavity or the oxide on the switching liquid. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
