摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting wire which achieves at the same time a high strength, high stability, high critical current density, and a long length, which is a technical subject required for making MgB<SB>2</SB>superconducting wire as a practical use wire rod, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This composite sheath MgB<SB>2</SB>superconducting wire is made by combining a high stability metal having a specific electric resistance of 7μΩcm or less and a high strength metal having a Vickers hardness of 50 or more at room temperature.
