PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooved or holed V-belt for reducing slippage due to wear debris on the friction surface of the V-belt or belt noises due to abrupt torque fluctuation on the drive side. SOLUTION: Grooves or holes are provided in the friction surface of the V-belt.
