<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently manage a font which is especially built in an electronic document, and to speed up drawing with font processing. <P>SOLUTION: Data of electronic manuscript type is analyzed (S1002), and specifications of the font, which is build in the data, are extracted (S1003). Font data, corresponding to the specification of the font, are generated as font data which is common to the data of electronic manuscript type and are registered in a system OS (S1012).
