<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light unit for display which is used for a back light of an LCD panel etc., more in detail, a light unit for display which emits white plane light vertically by using laterally incident single-wavelength light. <P>SOLUTION: Provided is the light unit for display including: a single-wavelength light source which emits single-wavelength light; a light guide plate which is disposed by the single-wavelength light source and forms a hologram pattern on at least one surface between front and rear surfaces perpendicular to the incident light and emits light substantially perpendicularly to the incidence direction; and a fluorescent layer which is formed over the front surface of the light guide plate and converts the wavelength of the vertically projected light into white light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
