AROMATIC-ALIPHATIC COPOLYCARBONATE RESIN

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic-aliphatic polycarbonate resin that has excellent heat resistance and excellent hue and has a high Abbe's number and a low photoelastic constant and to provide a process for producing the polycarbonate resin at a low cost.

SOLUTION: The aromatic-aliphatic copolycarbonate resin is produced by subjecting an aromatic carbonic acid diester, a dihydroxy compound having at least one kind of alicyclic structure and at least one kind of aromatic dihydroxy compound to melt polymerization in the presence of a transesterification catalyst wherein the amount of the dihydroxy compound having the alicyclic structure remaining in the resulting resin is 50 ppm or less, the amount of the aromatic dihydroxy compound remaining therein is 50 ppm or less, the amount of the carbonic acid diester remaining therein is 150 ppm or less and the amount of an aromatic monohydroxy compound remaining therein is 100 ppm or less.
