SPEED CHANGE CONTROLLER FOR MECHANICAL AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a driver carry out suitable speed change control so that driver's will for acceleration/deceleration can be well reflected in a speed change controller for a mechanical automatic transmission.

SOLUTION: The speed change controller controls speed change motion when performing shift-up operation during an accelerating motion in a vehicle with the mechanical type automatic transmission. An acceleration/deceleration will determining means 13 judges the driver's will for acceleration/deceleration, and a gear change determining means 10 judges whether a gear change to a next gear is completed or not. When determining driver's will is judged by acceleration/deceleration will determining means 13 and completion of the gear change is judged by the gear change determining means 10, a clutch 9 is half-engaged by means of a clutch control means 16.
