RECORDING MEDIUM, INFORMATION REPRODUCING DEVICE AND INFORMATION REPRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium having a data structure to realize firm copyright protection for surely preventing the illegal copying of contents recorded therein, and to provide an information recording device and an information recording method capable of reproducing data from the information recording medium without providing any special data reading means.

SOLUTION: The information recording medium has a read-in area in which control information is recorded and a data recording area in which user data is recorded. First key information is recorded in the read-in area. Scrambled data and second key information are recorded in the data recording area. The scrambled data is descrambled based on the second key information. In the read-in area, mutual authentication key information is further recorded to execute mutual authentication between a reader for reading the scrambled data and a decoder including a descrambling circuit for descrambling the scrambled data. Thus, by recording the key information in the read-in area, security is improved.
