PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance management of a public long code mask (PCLM) in handoff. SOLUTION: In the present embodiment, when communicating with a destination base station (BS) 130, a mobile station (MS) 101 is capable of using a PCLM that is different from a PLCM to be used for communicating with a service provision side (BS) 120. Besides, signal transmission is performed between the service provision side BS and the destination BS via a mobile switching center (MSC) 115, so that the destination BS includes the new PLCM to perform communications between the MS and the destination BS. Each destination BS can assign and transmit the PLCM to the handoff MS, thereby avoiding today's problem of PLCM sharing, namely, of crosstalk. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
