PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an electrolyte for a nonaqueous electrolytic solution capable of decreasing a content of boric acid in the electrolyte. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the electrolyte for the nonaqueous electrolytic solution comprises the steps of esterifying the boric acid in the electrolyte for the nonaqueous electrolytic solution mainly comprising a tetrafluoro borate salt by an alcohol, and removing the nonreaction alcohol at the same time or after the esterifying to decrease the boric acid in the electrolyte.
