METHOD FOR PRODUCING ALUMINUM PIGMENT PASTE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aluminum pigment paste, hardly damaging the quality as a metallic pigment and having a previous concentration step of an aluminum pigment slurry. SOLUTION: This method for producing the aluminum pigment paste involves a step for concentrating the slurry comprising a flaky aluminum pigment and an organic solvent by using a decanter-type centrifugal settler having a structure of pushing a concentrate in by a liquid differential pressure by selecting an operating condition under which the particle size distribution of aluminum pigment particles in a separation solvent is regulated within a prescribed range, within the range of a prescribed centrifugal acceleration and conveying proportion of a screw conveyor, so that the content of the aluminum may be >5 wt.% and ≤60 wt.%.
