PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge and discharge control system capable of a high-voltage discharge and a low-voltage charge. SOLUTION: The charge and discharge control system 10 has a control circuit 2 for controlling the entire system, a charge circuit 1 for charging secondary batteries 3,4 connected in series and constituting a battery group 6, switches S1-S4 for switching the connection between the charge circuit 1 and the secondary batteries 3,4, and a voltage measuring circuit 5 for measuring the voltages of each secondary battery 3,4. The charge is performed by switching and connecting the single charge circuit 1 to the secondary batteries 3,4 constituting the battery group 6 on the time division basis. The charge voltage equivalent to that of one battery of the secondary batteries 3,4 as a charge target is sufficient for the voltage to be supplied from the charge circuit 1 to the secondary batteries 3,4. Accordingly, the high-voltage discharge can be executed from the battery group 6 in which the secondary batteries 3,4 are connected in series. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
