PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost electric power steering device which can reduce vibration and noise, by more surely aligning the axes of a motor shaft and the input shaft of a speed reducer, and which can be further reduced in size. SOLUTION: The motor shaft 11 of a motor M is provided coaxially with an engaging hole 15, which extends along the center axis C1 from the tip 14, and at least its one part is made hollow, an engaging part 74, provided at one end 12a of a worm shaft 12, is engaged rotatably with at least one part of this engaging hole 15, and this engaging part 74 is arranged roughly within a motor housing 17.
