PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently clean an objective in spite of simple constitution. SOLUTION: A cleaning part 23 is provided at a position corresponding to the base of a well 24 on a base 18 inside the frame 25 of the microplate 12. By arranging the cleaning part 23 on an immersion objective 11 or making the cleaning part 23 pass through the lens 11, the lens 11 is cleaned when it comes into contact with the cleaning part 23.
