PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus which suppresses increase in the cost and which can reproduce an image formed only by K ink and an image part formed by superposing the K ink and other inks as distinguishable from each other in a printed image. SOLUTION: A plurality of first regions 600a and a plurality of second regions 600b are alternately arranged, in which a black color image is displayed by thinning into only the first regions 600a while a color image except for black is displayed by thinning into only the second regions 600b.
