PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emulsion stable with time, having durability to water, and sunscreening properties and having preferable properties for cosmetics. SOLUTION: The O/W emulsion obtainable by phase inversion comprises microspheres with an average diameter of 100-1,000 nm wherein the microspheres composes the oil phase in the emulsion, a nanopigments of metal oxides, at least one organic UV screening agent and at least a 4,4'-diarylbutadiene based organic UV-A screening agent in the emulsion.
