PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair cosmetic which protects hair from physical or chemical stimulation, inhibits occurrence of split ends, imparts natural smoothness, moist feeling, resilience, elasticity, moisture etc. to the treated (washed, etc.) hair and is excellent in shelf stability. SOLUTION: The hair cosmetic contains (A) 0.001-10 wt.% amphiphilic amide lipid and (B) 0.05-10 wt.% dialkyl ether or ethylene glycol dialkyl ether having a 18-22C alkyl group or ethyleneglycol monofatty acid ester, ethylene glycol difatty acid ester, fatty acid monoethanol amide or acylatedβ-alanine having a 18-22C acyl group.
