<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for keeping the freshness of a brown alga plant by which the taste, texture and crunchy feeling of the raw brown alga are kept without causing discoloration even after being preserved for a long period of one or more years, and the brown alga can be stably supplied at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: Calcium carbonate powder is coated on the brown alga in a state of having ≥60% water content, and the coated alga is refrigerated and preserved when preserving the raw brown alga plant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
