<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and efficiently preparing a site-specific genetically-modified cell, without restriction of a gene which is a target of modification, in a method that a selection marker does not remain on a genome. <P>SOLUTION: This method comprises conducting a process for homologous recombination on a chromosome in a cell of an organism during a time of 60-720 min, and then preparing the site-specific genetically-modified cell. Thus, the site-specific genetically-modified cell is simply and efficiently prepared in a short time, regardless of whether the selection marker remains on the genome or not, without restriction of characteristics of the gene which is the target of the modification. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
