PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical chloride sensor which prevents the influence of hydrogen sulfide gas.
SOLUTION: A through-hole punctured on a side wall of a vessel is provided with a working electrode having a layer of noble metal at least its surface. Outside the working electrode, a cell is constructed by stretching a diaphragm, which allows a gas to be inspected to pass through and is water repellent, so that it provides liquid tightness. A counter electrode and an electrolyte are contained in the cell, wherein the electrolyte is a solution which contains 10 mmol to 720 mmol of potassium iodide (KI) and contains a buffer for maintaining a pH at less than 7.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
