PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-fuel ratio control device for an internal combustion engine capable of stabilizing sub feedback learning early after a sub feedback leaning value is erased. SOLUTION: An air-fuel ratio sensor 11 is provided upstream of a three-way catalyst 13 provided in the exhaust system of an engine 1, and an oxygen sensor 12 is provided downstream thereof. ECU 30 exercises feedback control over an fuel amount based on an output by the air-fuel ratio sensor 11 so that the air-fuel ratio of the engine achieves a theoretical air-fuel ratio, and exercises sub feedback control for correcting the fuel amount of the feedback control based on an output by the oxygen sensor 12. Furthermore, it learns a learning value for compensating steady deviation between the air-fuel ratio of the engine and the theoretical air-fuel ratio based on a sub feedback correction value, and prohibits a slip control of a rock-up clutch 23 until leaning is stabilized when the learning value is relearned based on erasure of the learning value.
