PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive tape attaching apparatus, which allows a worker to attach an adhesive tape on attachment areas of a variety of outer shapes quickly and accurately without skill. SOLUTION: The adhesive tape attaching apparatus 10 comprises a holding mechanism 12, which holds the adhesive tape T having the outer shape fitting to that of an attachment area, with the adhesive surface T1 of the tape turned outward, and a pressure attaching mechanism 14, which pressure attaches the adhesive tape held by the holding mechanism on the attachment surface area. The holding mechanism comprises a suction member 18 having an elastic holding surface 16 in contact with the back surface T2 of the adhesive tape, a base 20 which supports the suction member so that it can move in parallel in a pressure attaching direction crossing the holding surface, and a vacuum source 22 which is adjacent to the holding surface and generates negative pressure to make the adhesive tape sucked to the holding surface to be held there. The pressure attaching mechanism has a drive 24 which moves the suction member parallelly in a pressure attaching directionαrelative to the base to press the adhesive surface of the tape held on the holding surface to the attachment surface area.
