PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency light lighting device which reduces duplication of components for a normal light lighting device and the emergency light lighting device, cost of components, assembling manhours, and waste. SOLUTION: The emergency light lighting device comprises inverters Q2, Q3 to light a fluorescent lamp La by a direct current power source 2 generated by rectifying an alternating current power source AC, a detecting means to detect a power-failure of the alternating current power source AC, and an emergency power source to supply power when the detecting means has detected a power-failure, wherein the fluorescent lamp La is lit by the emergency power source when the detecting means has detected a power-failure. The emergency light lighting device further comprises a voltage-boosting means to boost the power source supplied by the emergency power source, and switching means 71, 72, 74 to switch the power source supplied to the inverters Q2, Q3 from the direct current power source 2 to the power source boosted by the voltage-boosting means when the detecting means has detected a power-failure.
