PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting apparatus constituted so that the dust caught in a slot of a screen arranged on the outer peripheral surface of a dust collecting drum can be removed easily even when the screen is formed by winding a wedge wire spirally. SOLUTION: This dust collecting apparatus is provided with the dust collecting drum 10 the screen 14 of which is formed by winding the wedge wire spirally, a scraper 30 having spiral teeth to be engaged with the slots of the screen 14 and a drive 20 for rotating the drum 10 and the scraper 30 to the same direction at the same rotational speed.
