PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference voltage generating circuit capable of setting the temperature dependency of a reference voltage between a predetermined positive temperature characteristic and a predetermined negative temperature characteristic. SOLUTION: A constant current I1 outputted from a constant current circuit 1 having a positive temperature characteristic, and a constant current I2 outputted from a constant current circuit 2 having a negative temperature characteristic are both inputted in a current synthesizing circuit 3. By synthesizing the constant currents I1 and I2 at a rate so that a temperature characteristic is provided between the positive temperature characteristic of constant current I1 to the negative temperature characteristic of the constant current I2, the current synthesizing circuit 3 outputs a constant current I=p×I1+q×I2 (p and q are a coefficient including the case of zero) having optional temperature dependency within a particular range.
