PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulating cover capable of being simply attached to or detached from the injection or extrusion device of a molding machine. SOLUTION: The heat insulating cover 10 for the injection or extrusion device is equipped with a heat insulating layer 12 filled with a flexible heat insulating material and an outer skin layer 13 which covers the outside of the heat insulating layer 12 and comprises a sheet having heat resistance. A Velcro fastener(R) 14 having heat resistance is attached to the outer skin layer 13 in the vicinity of the end part thereof. This heat insulating cover 10 for the injection or extrusion device is wound around the outside of the heater 3 of the injection or extrusion device of the molding machine to be fixed thereto by the Velcro fastener(R) 14.
