PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file wherein the portion of a workpiece even located at a distance farther than the whole length of the file can be filed without damaging any portions other than the target position, and even an unskilled person can use it. SOLUTION: In a conventional file, the portion located at a distance farther than the whole length of the file cannot be filed because the file handle comes into contact with the workpiece. Further, filing of the target portion only of the workpiece without damaging any portions other than the target portion is difficult. In addition, in the case of a flat file, filing without damaging any portions other than the target portion by the corners of the flat file requires considerable skillfulness. According to the present invention, the file, which can file the target portion only without damaging any portions other than the target position and can be easily used even by an unskilled person, is provided, while solving the problems concerning the conventional files.
