PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably and surely grip a multi-well plate without being affected by the size errors of the multi-well plate in the right and left directions, even when the dispersion of the size of the multi-well plate is caused by errors in forming, deformation, etc. of the multi-well plate. SOLUTION: When a hand apparatus for carrying the multi-well plate grips the multi-well plate from the right and left sides by moving right and left arms 801, 802 toward each other, the multi-well plate is supported by three points from the right and left sides by bringing respective tip ends of a first pin 817 and second pins 818A, 818B into pressure contact with the right and left sides of the multi-well plate. The hand apparatus is configured such that the second pins 818A, 818B are held so as to move in the right and left directions of the multi-well plate, and further are energized by an energizing means so as to project toward the sides of the multi-well plate.
