PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool wherein work like maintenance inspection of a clamping device is carried out easily and in a short period of time. SOLUTION: According to the structure of the machine tool, a plate 21 is openably arranged over an inspection opening formed in an upper surface of a mounting frame 16 of the clamping device 17 for clamping a workpiece W. The plate 21 supports a coolant ejection portion 24 which ejects a coolant to the workpiece W. The mounting frame 16 supports thereon various parts 27 like hydraulic/pneumatic equipment. When the maintenance inspection or the like of the clamp device 17 is carried out, the plate 21 is rotated to an opening position to open an upper portion of the clamping device 17.
