PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding having high strength and excellent performance to absorb carbon dioxide containing an alkaline carbonate. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the carbon dioxide absorbent molding comprises at least a process of obtaining a molding by mixing lithium carbonate, silica and an organic binder, molding the mixture and heating and firing the molding and a process of impregnating the molding obtained by the above process with an alkaline carbonate solution, then drying the molding. In the method, the alkaline carbonate solution is preferably an aqueous solution. Also, potassium carbonate or sodium carbonate may be used for the alkaline carbonate. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
