PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deodorization composition and a deodorizing sheet type resin product using the composition immediately exhibiting superior deodorizing function to formaldehyde generated from building materials, acetaldehyde which is a major component of smell of cigarette smoke, ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, trimethylamine, methyl mercaptan, and acetic acid smell and having durability and to provide them with superior deodorizing function having superior immediate effectivity and durability, lowering neither performances such as film formation property and stability for forming a surface layer nor the performance of the surface treatment layer in the sheet type resin aqueous surface treatment agent. SOLUTION: The deodorization composition contains layered phosphate and polyamine, or preferably contains layered phosphate polyamine intercalation compound, and composite between phosphate of quadrivalent metal and hydroxide of divalent metal.
