For injection molding around at least a part of the surface of an injection molded component (10), e.g. the air intake manifold for an internal combustion motor to give a gas-tight sealing between the lower (11) and upper (14) parts, the section being processed (A) is provided with an internal support. The support is provided by a filling of loose material, and especially steel balls (19), with a diameter to match the inner dimensions of the hollow space (22). At least one plug (18) applies a force against the filling.
