The illumination element has a main part (1) containing a reflective surface for reflecting and radiating the light generated by a light source (3). At least one section (4) for accommodating the light source is integrally formed on the main part. The integral section is designed to accommodate a holder (10) for the preferably electrical light source via a plug connection or screw thread (9).
