The connecting system has a first guide connecting element (2) to receive a second connecting element (3), with one having a pair of detent catches (4) and the other having a pair of locking members (5). The pair of catches slide into a detent position defined by engagement faces (10) of the locking members and in the detent position these locking members are held with keyed engagement to form a double boundary force lock. The locking members have tapered inclines (11) at their free ends.
