<p>Composition which contains bitumen and polyethylene and also a functionalized polyolefin polymer and less than 5 wt% of an atactic polyolefin. The polyethylene is preferably a metallocene polymerized polyethylene and the functionalized polyolefin polymer is a functionalized polyethylene. The composition is very suitable for application in a membrane for roofing material, in which at least a layer containing the composition is present.</p>
